This growth is considered to be faster than that of other jobs, mostly because a large majority of Americans have begun to make safety and security their top priority. Not only that -- baby boomers who are about to retire from this industry will open up more jobs in law enforcement for newcomers all over the country. In fact, it's predicted that by 2016, a total of 959,000 jobs in law enforcement will be created for local and federal departments.
